Download TapnDine POS from the App Store, open it, and tap Try the demo on the first screen. That gives you a complete working till with a sample menu and a dining room of eight tables, so you can see how it runs before talking to us. Nothing in the demo leaves your iPad.
The app is free to download. Running your own restaurant on it needs an account, which we set up for you. Write to [email protected] and we will get you onboarded — menu, tax rates, staff, printers and all.
Yes. Sales are written to the iPad first. If the connection drops you keep serving, and everything syncs by itself once you are back online.
Anything already synced is safe in your account and comes back when a new device is linked. Anything rung up while offline and not yet synced lives only on that iPad — which is why we recommend leaving the till on Wi-Fi.

Yes. Tax is set per item, inclusive or exclusive, at whatever rates you charge, and every invoice carries a full tax breakdown.
