TapnDine POS is a point-of-sale application for restaurants, operated by TapNDine LLC (“TapNDine”, “we”, “us”), 220 Madinah Al Monawara Street, Al Barakeh Complex, 5th Floor, Office No. 508, Amman, Jordan.
This policy explains what the app handles, what reaches our servers, and what you can ask us to do about it.
TapnDine POS is a tool a restaurant uses to run its own till. Nearly everything it holds is that restaurant’s own business data — its menu, its sales, its invoices. We store that data so the restaurant can reach it from its dashboard and not lose it if a device is lost or replaced.
We do not sell data. We do not show advertising. We do not track anyone across other apps or websites. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software of any kind.
For a restaurant’s business records — its sales, invoices, menu and stock — the restaurant is the controller of that data and TapNDine processes it on the restaurant’s instructions.
For account administration — the accounts we create for restaurants, and our own billing and support records — TapNDine is the controller.
If you open the app and choose Try the demo, everything stays on your device. No account is created and nothing at all is transmitted to us. Deleting the app deletes that data.
No location. No contacts. No health data. No financial account or card details. No browsing or search history. No advertising identifiers. No usage analytics.
We do not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies, and we do not share data with data brokers.
Business records sync from the iPad to managed cloud infrastructure operated by our hosting providers on our behalf. Data in transit is encrypted using TLS. Each restaurant’s data is isolated so that one restaurant cannot read another’s, and access by our staff is limited to those who need it to run the service and support customers.
The app is offline-first by design: records are written on the iPad first and synced afterwards. A record may therefore sit on the device for a while before it reaches us — that is what lets the till keep working when the internet does not.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects personal data we hold, we will notify the affected account owners, and the competent authority where the law requires it.
While a restaurant’s account is active, we keep its records so the restaurant can use them.
If an account is closed, we keep its data for 90 days so the owner can export it, and delete it within 30 days after that — unless we are required to keep something longer by law, or need it to resolve a dispute or enforce an agreement.
A restaurant remains responsible for retaining its own invoices and accounting records for whatever period Jordanian tax law requires of it. Closing a TapnDine account does not discharge that obligation, so export your records first.
Demo data is never sent to us at all and disappears when the app is deleted.
You may ask us to access, correct, export or delete personal data, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to withdraw consent where we relied on it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity before acting.
If you are a customer of a restaurant that uses TapnDine and want a receipt record removed, contact that restaurant — it controls that record. You may also write to us and we will pass the request on.
You also have the right to complain to the competent data protection authority in Jordan.
TapnDine POS is a business tool. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and notify account owners.
